As Easy As Turning Over Your Hand...
Over the past few months I've been pondering about how the Republican Party can win in a nation gone mad, controlled by the most worthless and Liberal congress in our history and a President who is arguably already one of the very worst to ever take the Oath of Office. Given that statement winning should be simple for Republicans in the 2010 midterm elections and in 2012 and I firmly believe that we will win many elections throughout the nation and I pray that we hand Speaker Pelosi her pink slip, which American greatly needs to do.
The problem is though that too many Americans are locked in a state of political apathy and aren't paying the attention that they should be to their nation's decline. Those who stand up for Conservative values are quickly torn to shreds by the rabid wolf pack known as the Liberal Media; any one who paid any attention to the mainstream media treatment of the Tea Party knows that to be true.
We tried the Contract With America which was an overwhelming success...until Republicans in power began to consider the Contract to be null and void. It is truly our own damn fault that the nation is ruled by people who idolize Socialist and Marxist beliefs and it's past time we "man up" as a Party and face that. We could try Contract Part Two, but many Americans will see that as a meaningless ploy since we pretty much backed out of the first Contract.
So then what do we do? What is our key to success in the upcoming and future elections? It is actually simple; like turning over your own hand. Interested in learning how to win? Read on.
How often is it that we see Senators, Congressmen, Representatives, Governors, Mayors, Councilmen who are puffed up and lulled into delusions of power? Men and women who place themselves above the people who elected them to office? Men and women who spend hard earned tax payer monies on God knows what, and a Speaker who basically has the Air Force on a tight leash so she always has the Air Force to fly her back to California?
Go read the letters of our Founding Fathers and great Statesmen. How many of them acted as if they were all-powerful and that the People were merely ants to be stepped on, to be crushed beneath a Senator's heel? President George Washington certainly did not act as such, nor did Adams, Jefferson, or those others whom we consider to be honorable Statesmen.
Political office, no matter how "high", is nothing more than the position held by a CIVIL SERVANT. Politicians are elected to SERVE the People, not be served BY them. The President of the United States of America should be the number one civil servant in the land; Senators and Governors should never be considered "powerful". They should be humble, willing and thankful to serve. To win the hearts of the American people and to be placed into political office we must prove to them that we are humble men and women who want to serve the People, and they will give us the chance to do so.
I am convinced that this is the key to success, our key to success. To be called by the People to serve them is a great honor and we, as a Party, need to treat it as such. Prove to the People that we possess common sense, pride as American citizens, fiscal responsibility and the heart of a servant and it will be the Republican Party that once again helps shape the future of this great nation. It isn't too late to undo the damage that has been done and is currently being done but if we do not change the course of this ship soon we will run right into the iceberg that lays dead ahead.
Serve not for power, glory or money but because it is the right thing to do, because you have your fellow citizens best interests at heart, and leave your ego at home. If you read the bible you'll notice that the greatest people in those books are those who weren't the most powerful or the richest but those who were the most humble. Be humble. Be a servant.
